Malayna was curled up on the leather sofa with a book she'd just finished unpacking her stuff, was basically chilling for the time being or until she had a class or something to attend. This was her final year at Hogwarts, she was excited but worried about her little sister because it was only her 1st so unless she asked someone else to look out for her sister next year she'd find away to postpone her graduating if that was even possible. Malayna placed a blond curl behind her ear as she turned the page in her book letting a sigh escape her lips as she listened to the crackling of the fire she'd lit in the fire place, she turned her head toward the stairs that lead into the common room when she heard someone coming down them obviously another slytherin but she couldn't make out the person's face all she knew was that it was a boy.
She'd never been good with faces she was better with voices, names so if said person spoke she'd immediately know who it was until then she seemed very clueless so she turned her attention back to her book. She'd curse whoever it was if they snuck up on her even if it was one of her friends, well she wouldn't curse them persay just threaten them or just jump out of her skin cause well not alot scared her except mice, spiders she hated the nasty creatures. But for some reason snakes didn't bother her maybe cause she'd been born to be a slytherin, the house was represented by a serpent the same creature tattooed along her forearm which was covered at all times unless she was dressed up even then it was covered by gloves of some sort.

Draco would have loved to lie there on his bed and allow the sleep to wash over him. It wasn't the fact that he didn't get enough rest. In fact, he probably slept the most out of all the Slytherins in his year. No. It was the strain of being a Death Eater. Perhaps he had wanted it once upon a time, but that time was past and now he just wanted a normal life.
Sighing, he propped himself up. He had laid down without bothering to undress, and now Draco left the dormitory without a second thought, walking down the stairs idly towards the common room. He had been doing all sorts of things to relieve stress lately. Most of them included sleeping, studying and playing Quidditch. Allowing the dim light of the fire to wash over him, Draco sat down in an empty table close to the fireplace. There was another girl sitting in the room - another Death Eater in his year. What was her name again? Oh yeah, Malayna.
He decided to ignore her, concentrating on his unfinished Potions homework. Draco found himself reading the same lines over and over, until he gave up and resorted to staring blankly into the fire.

'' Is something bothering you Draco?'' Malayna asked as she watched him ignore her she didn't mind cause well he'd been threw alot so she understood, yes being a death eater was a royal pain but you couldn't take it back once you were marked. That was the other thing that worried her about leaving the school what if her sister was chosen? she'd feel horrible that she hadn't been around to witness it or comfort her sister when she felt bad for doing something she knew was wrong slytherin or not her little sister was quite smart for her age, it made Malayna rather proud. Covering her mouth with her hand she yawned as she closed her book, stood up walking over to the table her dear friend sat at he was the same age she was, she looked up to him as an older brother even though she secretly crushed on him but would never reveal her feelings after all she'd already been dumped once that was enough. The so called innocent blond had never taken rejection well, well Draco was the cutest boy in her year aside from his goons who seemed a little to dorky for their own good but it'd only been a few months since her breakup so she was still recovering from heartbreak.

The fire crackled as it sank lower into the ashes. Draco's mind was completely blank. He refused to think about everything that had happened last year. He didn't have to do anything anymore. His family was safe for now, although no longer respectable, but he could deal with that. He would bring them back the respect they deserved.
"Is something bothering you, Draco?" a voice interrupted.
So deep in thought, Draco almost missed the question. He snapped up just in time to see Malayna slide into another seat at his table. He thought a moment before replying to the question. Was there anything? Well, apart from all the trauma and stress from last year, no. "No," he replied, eyes drawn to the fire and not meeting her gaze. "There's nothing. Don't worry." Although quite far from the truth, it wasn't much of a lie either.[/blockquote]

One of the first days back and already Demi had detention. She had only hexed a mudblood a few times, well they shouldn't have got in her way. Mudbloods had to learn their place in the school and walking straight into Demetria Lestrange was not one of them. Besides Demi was already in a foul mood, she was a prefect and she wasn't head girl either - she had put it down to the fact that no one trusted her with power because she was a Lestrange - not that she could blame them. She would abuse her authority of the other students. She liked power, which was why she wanted to be a deatheater. But she was yet to be marked which was really starting to get on her nerves. Her twin brother had the dark mark, her cousin Draco had the dark mark... so why couldn't she have it? she have proved herself over and over again. Well once she finished school there was nothing stopping her from getting the dark mark herself. She was a very skilled duelist, never once had she lost a duel. She was very good at potions.
She went into the slytherin common room, her long raven dark hair cascaded down her back in a few light curls. "Detention already." She said in a huff as she slammed the book down on the table. "Wasn't my fault the mudblood wasn't quick enough." She folded her arms. "The sooner I'm out of this school the better!"

''Wow I've been here since I was eleven years old, haven't had detention yet. Sorry Demi.'' Malayna said feeling bad for her friend although she understood the fact that muddbloods often got in the way she'd been tempted to hex a few herself but thought butter of that idea, she could tell Draco was lying because ever since they arrived at school he'd been distant which she herself knew wasn't like him. But he'd dealt with alot in the last two years, it wasn't easy being a death eater no matter why you were chosen so she wasn't worried or anything just concerned because Draco was her friend or one of them anyways.

"Well McGonagall's had it in for me since I step foot in this castle." She said as she pushed some of her hair back, She glanced though some of her potions homework which she hadn't done, she had better things to do than homework - besides she was better at making potions than writing about them. It had drove her mad last year when Potter kept getting better marks than her. She glanced round the common room, who could she bribe into doing her homework for her? now don't get me wrong she was perfectly capable of doing it herself and get good grades, she just couldn't be bothered to do her own homework. She groaned when there was no one around. Looked like she would have to do her own.
"And you've never got detention because you've never got caught." Demi wasn't all that bothered about getting caught anymore, what was the worst they could do to her? expel her from hogwarts. If Demi got her way then she wouldn't have come back this year, but her father at least wanted her to complete her studies. Demi was a daddy's girl, she had him wrapped around her little finger. But she took after her mum the most, a lot of people said she was a mini Bellatrix, like mother - like daughter. "Earth to Draco.." She said as she clicked her fingers, trying to snap him out of his thoughts. She had grown up with him, if anyone knew him she did.

Seeing that Malayna had the sense not to question him any further, Draco went back to staring at the embers of the fire, which was crackling lower and lower. He looked up as someone walked in, only to find that it was Demetria, his cousin. The conversation she struck with Malayna held no importance to him, and he soon found himself zoning out again. It seemed to happen a lot these days.
"Earth to Draco."
He looked up again, hearing his name. "Yes?" he asked, settling his uninterested grey eyes on his cousin and pretending he had been listening the whole time. Demi could probably tell that he was faking though, but Draco didn't really care. Demetria could see through almost everything. But then...why was he still faking?

"Don't pretend that you were listening to everything we've just said. I know you, Draco. I can read you like a book." Family was one of the things that was important Demi and Draco was more like a brother to her than a cousin. She wasn't expecting him to tell her what was going on in that head of his with with Mala sat with them but if something was bothering then Demi could help. Of course Demi could always just get into his head with magic anyway but she didn't like to do that unless she had to when it came to family.
She looked at him with her light blue eyes as she tossed some of her dark hair back over her shoulder, she knew what ever was bothering him was more than just potion homework.

Although a little angry that he was 'read like a book', Draco glared at her sceptically, matching her gaze until he felt boredom kick in and looked away. "Whatever," he smirked lightly, a shadow of his sly personality reappearing. He didn't care whether Demi knew or not, but Bellatrix had been teaching him Occlumency as well as the Dark Arts over the past year, and he was now a more-than-successful Occlumens. Legilimency won't useful anymore. "And for your information," he continued smoothly, determined to prove her wrong, "I was listening...a little. Something about a detention?" He looked back up, smirk now completely wide. It was just a tiny bit forced though, and Draco had to tell himself to relax. It was going to be a long year.[/blockquote]

"Don't look at me like that, Its only because I've known you since you were born that I know you well." She said with a smirk, she liked to rub in the fact that she was older, it really got on Damian's nerves that she was the older twin and to her, he was the 'little brother'. She thought about trying to force her way into Draco's head but she knew that her mum had taught him occlumency as well, so it was highly unlikely that she would be able to manage it, she wouldn't do that to Draco anyway.... to anyone else probably but not to family.
If anyone else had tried to correct her then she would have hexed them, but most people knew better than to pick a fight with her. "Listening a little, so not properly paying attention." She said with a grin. "I was half right." She would never admit she was wrong. "and yes I got detention.... again." She glanced at her manicured nails. "The mudblood needed to be taught its place." she said simply.

It was times like this that Draco resented having an older cousin who knew him almost better than he knew himself. He was also more than aware that this was Bellatrix's daughter, and her mother was close to the Dark Lord. During the last year, all respect for the Dark Lord had trickled away, leaving only bitter hurt and anger. But nobody was to know that, of course. And Demi definitely couldn't find out.
Detention again. Not that Draco cared at all about his education - he could already use the Unforgivable Curses. What more was there to learn? From her last line, he guessed that she was caught hexing a mudblood again. "They should just get those pathetic mudbloods kicked out of this stupid school." Draco resisted the temptation to roll his eyes.

'' I agree that is if my opinion counts if not I'll return to the sofa.'' Malayna said she often felt out of place because well personality wise mostly she didn't belong in slytherin but it'd been her parents house for seven years, now it was hers but she had alot on her mind her ex being one of them because he'd suddenly started sending her letters to say he was sorry so that's what she'd actually been reading when Draco entered the common room. Part of her wanted to take him back, part of her wanted him dead because he'd broken her heart but she didn't know what else to do so of course she handed Demi the letter she had in her pocket then said nothing further.
(sorry it's bad.)

"Exactly.... its bad enough just having to be in the same classes as that half werewolf, Lesley." Demi hated being out done by anyone, yes she wasn't so bothered about her education this year (she was only here this year because her parents, her father especially, wanted her to complete her studies) but a mudblood of a half blood getting better grades than her was unacceptable. The fact that Potter got better marks than her in just about every potions class last year had drove her mad.
She tapped her nails on the table, she found it terribly unfair that Draco, Damian and Mala all had the dark mark and Demetria didn't - which Damian chose to rub in at every chance he got. She was a skilled duelist, she could preform all the unforgivable curses. She was just as good if not better than half the death eaters he already had. "Mala course you opinion counts." She said simply snapping out of her own thoughts. She read the letter that Malayna had passed her, she rolled her eyes "and he expects you to forgive him? Guys are perfectic, they come crawling back expecting that a simple sorry will solve everything." Demi herself, didn't date. She had various snogging partners, but as soon as the guy called her 'his girlfriend' she ended it. She wasn't going to be some guys property.

"Exactly.... its bad enough just having to be in the same classes as that half werewolf, Lesley."
Lesley? The name rang a bell, but Draco couldn't place it. He was surprised that Demi was on first-name terms with a mudblood. Then something clicked. "Oh, you mean Lupin? They shouldn't even allow half-breeds in here, not to mention a monster like that," he sneered, thinking of the day when Albus Dumbledore finally retired. It was about time Hogwarts got a new Headmaster.
But then the conversation dipped into an unfamiliar subject. Draco wasn't particularly interested with business that only girls would understand. Of course, he rarely interacted with things like this anyway. During the last year, he had distanced himself with everyone until gradually nobody talked to him, which was the way he liked it. Of course, after completing the mission (although not perfectly successful) he was free to interact with whomever...although people still avoided him. Draco didn't blame anyone though...he probably deserved it.

"Half-breeds are just as bad as Mudbloods and Bloodtraitors in my book. They might as well just snap their wands in half an join the rest of the muggles." She tossed some of her hair over her shoulder. "Could be worse I suppose, we could still be stuck with Dumbledore as headmaster..." Stupid muggle loving old fool, she thought that Draco should have killed him when he had the chance. Demetria wouldn't have hesitated... but she had been assigned to be the one to kill him, she didn't even have the dark mark, which her brother annoyingly had the habit of rubbing in.
She tapped her fingers on the table, her eyes finally falling on someone she could bribe into doing her homework for her. She stood up and went over him, Demetria could pretty much get any slytherin guy eating out of the palm of her hand -which Draco and Damian would often lecture her about afterwards - they didn't like the reputation she had. She smiled as he agreed to do her potion homework and make sure she would get an E for it. She kissed his cheek - she would make it all worth his while later. "Well that's my homework sorted." She said with a smile as she sat back down next to her cousin and friend.

Malayna agreed with everything that was being said but at the sametime she often felt she'd been sorted into the wrong house because sometimes she could be a sweetheart others she could be a ruthless bitch but their was always a dark side to everyone her's just hadn't surfaced yet because no one had really irritated her enough for it to do so, she pushed curls away from her shoulder as she sighed biting her lip she had a major crush on Damien but she'd never tell Demi or Draco cause well she didn't know what the out come would be if she told him so she kept it to herself. It was just one of those days where she felt like being quiet for the time being, there for she'd keep her thoughts to herself out of the fear of rejection by another guy hell her ex had dumped her but was trying to get her back.
What irritated her about that is the fact that he'd moved clear across the ocean just to make it official that they were over, now he wanted her back it didn't make any sense what so ever. She knew Demi would hex him for her but when he lived clear on the other side of the world it was a little hard to do unless she sent a letter with a death spell attached to it, when he read it he croaked but that wasn't gonna happen plus if either one of them got caught there would be some major consequences.

Draco quieted immediately as the name Dumbledore came to mind. He could still clearly remember the fear at killing someone, let alone a powerful wizard and his ex-headmaster. But thinking back, the fear was just stupid. How could a Slytherin and Death Eater have not completed the mission set by the Dark Lord? He would be dead if...he should be dead. He was just lucky that the Dark Lord was merciful.
Seeing Demi finding the solution to her homework, Draco resisted the temptation to roll his eyes. "Demetria, how many times do I have to tell you that you shouldn't do that?" he sighed, but not before adding, "Although they are a bunch of idiots." As for Slughorn's homework...he could deal with later. He ripped off a spare piece of parchment and threw it in the fire out of boredom, watching as it burnt to ashes.[/blockquote]

"Do what?" She asked with a frown when Draco asked her how many time he would have to tell her. She glanced at the guy that was now doing her homework and smiled "How about I agree to not do that in front of you and Damian?" She couldn't help it, that was just who she was, she flirted with nearly every guy, except the one's she was related to and mudbloods and blood traitors. "Oh come on you two this is our last year we should be doing something fun." She said looking at both their glum faces. "Mala I will send your ex something cursed or track him down myself if I have to."

'' You'd do that for little ole me?'' Malayna asked placing a curl behind her ear just wishing that someone would sweep her off her feet before the end of the year so she could stop thinking about her idiotic ex boyfriend who was basically trying to get her back just so he could treat her like dirt all over again, not like the beauty she was she knew all her ex wanted was her money not her she was rich well so was he but that was beside the point. She wasn't a prissy princess well she could be prissy at times but she liked to be treated as if she were a princess not a slab of meat or something far worse, that's how her ex had treated her for two years before he finally just called it quits. She shook her head remembering the night it happened she'd gone over to Demi's for a sleep over, was miserable the entire night because at the time her now ex had been the 1st boy she'd ever loved but he was an idiot obviously so she didn't care she just wanted to make her parents happy.
