Eric was tired of everything. He sat in potions, bored out of his mind. It was one of those lectures he never paid attention too. All he did was sit and think about Lesley. The girl was all he ever thought about. Eric had heard the bell and snapped out of his little day dream. Eric piled his books up and walked out of the class room ignoring everyone. He sighed as he walked through the court yard. He sees the same old thing everyday. Slytherins hexing mud bloods. Eric was sick of it, deep down. On the outside he showed it was still funny. He didn’t this time. He just walked on by, shaking his head.
Walking through the halls he saw more. Pure bloods making fun of anything less then them. He laughed at the idea. He wished everyone would get along, forget about it. He saw Lesley and gave a slight smile. She probably didn’t notice him, she wasn’t supposed to notice him and vise versa. He couldn’t help it some times. Some times he just missed her so much, seeing her made him smile. Eric continued down halls and he only missed her more.
There was no one inside the common room. He smiled and loved the idea. Eric sat down on the couch and he pulled out a book. He wondered what Lesley’s fuss was about it so he decided to read it. the Princess Bride was a great book so far, the romance and Eric really liked the action. Eric smiled at some of the funny things he read. He had heard something behind him and put the book away in his bag, quickly. He didn’t want anyone to see what he was reading. He had leaned back on the couch and stared at the fire.

Potions had been boring, making simple potions that she could make with her eyes closed. The lecture that followed after was boring, she had spent most of her time tapping her fingers on the table and trying not to fall asleep. When the bell went she yanked the bobble out of her long dark hair, she hated having her hair tied up but ever since Slughorn started teaching he insisted that she tie her hair up for his lessons and she had resisted the temptation to hex him.
She headed down the corridors, mudbloods avoiding her, they knew what she was like. She hexed anyone that got in her way, besides they deserved it. They should bow down to purebloods and treated like the royalty that they were. She was busy torturing a mudblood when Eric walked past her, she knew something was bothering her friend so she was cold, cruel and a complete bitch to most people but to the ones that she called her friends she was nice to. She cut the hex off abruptly and followed him down to the common room. She would have caught up with him if her brother hadn't caught up with her instead.
After managing to escape from her brothers lecture she got to the common room. There was no one there apart from Eric, she smiled. "Hey stranger." She leaned on the back of the couch. "And where have you been hiding?"

Eric heard Demi’s voice. He smiled to her and he then said “anywhere I can find. The place scares me.” Eric stated about the mud bloods. “I just haven’t really been in any mood to talk to people lately. I don’t know why but I just am. I haven’t been too distant have I?” Eric had asked Demi. He didn’t want to be distant from his friends, he likes them all. He hated being distant as well. “there have just been too many thoughts running through my mind as well.”
"how have you been, my friend?" He had then asked her. Eric sat there. He was more of a listener than a talker according to Lesley. He seemed to only talk none stop when he was with her, or so she says as well. He knew he was very two faced, but again, so was she. Eric leaned against the back of the couch looking at the fire. He took a deep breath and he looked over at Demi. "is everyone else mad at me for disappearing for a while?"

"This place is a prison Eric, I've told you that before." Well that was what she thought of the school anyway. She didn't want to be here anymore, she was only here at her parent's insistence. She rested her chin on Eric's shoulder as she lent over the couch. Well they had been friends since their first year, they had, had a slight fling at one point. But like all Demi's relationships it hadn't lasted long, it had just been a bit of fun.
"Only alot." She said when he asked if he had been too distant. "I was starting to think I had said something wrong." She said as she stood up straight and stretched before sitting down on the couch next to him. "Whats going on in that head of your's, you've been acting strange lately." Of course if she wanted she could force of way into his head to find out what was going on but with friends and family she would only do that as a very last resort.
"I've been fine... got a few more detentions but what else is new?" Demi always got detentions, they didn't bother her anymore, she was just sick of staring at the same four walls. "But if who were around you would have known that." Yes she was playing dirty, she was trying to make Eric feel guilty but so he should. "A lot of people are mad at you for deserting us.... but they'll get over it.... I've known you for that long I can't really stay mad at you for long." Though that would depend on how much he annoyed her and what he did, if he ever turned blood traitor then she would kill him herself.

“yeah, yeah.” Eric laughed to Demi. He smiled at her when she put her head on his shoulder. “so I am going to you party. My dad had told me about it and it sounds very exciting.” Eric smiled. She knew he wasn’t into parties, but he was sort of excited for this one. At least it was a party that he knew every one there instead of no one and hanging around his dad.
“sorry.” Eric apologized. He listened and he then said “funny I was thinking about Paris. I think I want to try it again with her, but not sure my head is set on that. that’s why I have been avoiding her. I don’t want to make a decision to quickly.” Eric lied. He was a great liar, and he made it sound like he meant that. Eric looked at Demi and he then asked “any suggestions?”
“you are the queen of detentions.” Eric laughed. “yeah, again sorry. I also came up with a brilliant idea about taking down the order from the inside, kinda like Snape was doing for a while but turned on us like the traitor he is. My dad thought it was a brilliant idea as well. He is going to bring it up to the dark lord, the only problem is figuring out how and dear dad said he could figure that one out.” Eric paused. “see I feel like I am not doing enough for the death eaters that is why I made the request to do it. Its supposed to be a secret and i trust you not to tell any one else, plus i think you could help me and be some back up if it gets suspicious.”

"Of course your invited to the party. My mum expects you to be there and if your not.... then she'll probably hunt you down and drag you there herself." Demi said with a smile, apart from her brother, Damian, Eric was the only one allowed to call her Dem or Dems - to everyone else it was Demi or Demetria. "Did I hear right? Eric Crouch actually looking forward to a party... never thought I would hear you say that." Eric wasn't a fan of parties, Demi loved parties, except when it was her aunt Narcissa's party. Narcissa seemed determined to set Demi up with some rich pureblood guy, but Demi was perfectly capable of finding her own guy and all the guys that her aunt set her up with - Demi would usually hurt them some how because they annoyed her.
"Well you and Paris did make a good couple and I know for a fact she still has a crush on you." Demi said as she tossed some of her hair behind her shoulder. "I'm so going to set you two up on a date." Well she herself might not want a boyfriend - she didn't want to be tied down but she didn't mind setting others up. "You would had thought that they would have got bored of giving me detentions by now, not that I'm bothered. I'm only here at my parents insistance."
"Its a good idea, if you can pull it off. But you would have to get close to one of them." She spat the word 'them' out like it left a bad taste in her mouth. "I won't tell anyone. I got your back."
