The year is 1977. Dark clouds have begun to shadow the ancient and eminent castle of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to mark the beginning of a dark era. The powerful wizard Lord Voldemort has risen progressively stronger over the years with a majority of students having grown up with the threat of Voldemort. No one is completely spared; almost everyone has lost a loved one, except for those who are pureblood and 'loyal' to the cause. The Dark Lord has begun recruiting students barely past their O.W.L.s, and the junior death eaters take their new responsibilities very seriously, tormenting anyone and everyone who is a Mudblood or a blood traitor by their standards. Meanwhile many of those 'blood traitors' and muggleborns are determined to fight back.
Despite the dark shadow lurking over the wizarding world, Hogwarts still remains full of young students--teenagers and the like. While many students have lost family members and some are even being removed from the school, parents know Hogwarts is perhaps the safest place for their children. Locked securely inside the castle and grounds, the students are sure to have plenty of drama as usual. Close friendships will be made, and some lost. True love will be uncovered, along with crushes, flings, broken hearts, and so much more. Duels, hexes, and even some good old-fashioned physical fighting is sure to take place in the tense and busy atmosphere.
So where do you stand? Imagine yourself the daring, confident Gryffindor; the sweet, loyal Hufflepuff; the quiet, intellectual Ravenclaw; the sly, cunning Slytherin. You may try to remain neutral as long as possible, but the choice of death eater or against is upon you. Keep your friends, make your enemies, and perhaps find love in the mix. In this critical time, house unity is essential, but can that unity remain as steady as the surrounding castle walls? You will make the choice, and don't forget: it is our choices, rather than our abilities, that make us who we really are.
