The hissing words of his master ripped through his skull. Rodolphus felt his back against the wall's bricks, ripping into his shirt back as he slid down. Falling to his knees, Rodolphus clutched at the sides of his head. He's an idiot, I believe you know him. He's run his mouth to the Prophet for too long. He's finally about to overstep his bounds. Kill him, now. Consider this something to sate that bloody nature of yours. Rodolphus gritted his teeth against the pain to keep silent and then just as quickly as it had come, it had vanished. Slumping against the wall, Rodolphus panted, wiping at the layer of cool sweat that had beaded across his forehead. He had noticed other Death Eaters weren't sent into such paroxysms of pain when the Dark Lord spoke to them. He had a feeling he knew why he was so 'lucky'. Running his hands up through his hair, he rested an elbow against the wall to steady himself. Standing back up, a wicked grin spread over his face. He cracked his neck and walked down through the alley, toward the apothecary's shop. It was right on the edge of where Knockturn and Diagon collided. The owner couldn't have picked a more suitable place. Ward. An idiot halfblood that tried to pretend he wasn't. He had been a real tosser in school. Uppity Ravenclaw that thought running his mouth about Lestrange and his friends would prove to be a good idea. After leaving school, he had been a fence sitter, refusing to take sides. He liked to feed rumors to the Prophet. Mostly harmless and stupid. Now, though, the Death Eater's tolerance of him had run out. Stalking through the alley, Rodolphus paused at the back door. Peering in through the window, he saw the man and saw that he was alone. A thin man, Ward looked stretched and tired. Like he knew he had just done something incredibly stupid. His auburn hair was unbrushed and hung down in his face. Rodolphus took his wand out, unlocking the door and setting a muffling charm over the building. He wasn't planning on letting his new toy go quietly. Entering the store, Rodolphus kicked the door shut with a marvelously loud slam. Ward jumped nearly a mile. "Afternoon, Ward.""Lestrange," he said, spinning on his heel and moving around the other side of the table, trying to keep him at distance. Rodolphus smiled at the man's fear. "I've come back to return the favours you've been payin' me all those years ago. And still are...""We was just kids. Meant no h-h-harm." "Oh, but from what I hear, you've still been runnin' your mouth...and to all the wrong people," Rodolphus mused with a tilt of his head. Ward moved quickly. Quicker than Rodolphus could remember him moving. He made it to his wand and fired off a blast at Rodolphus. But Rodolphus was fast. Nearly like a cat at times, and he had no patience for little attempts of heroism today. Snarling, Rodolphus upturned the table and then was on him. Back fisting Ward across the chin, Rodolphus grabbed him around the shirt and threw Ward into the vial filled case. The man fell to the ground with a shattering crash. "Always tellin' the wrong people," Rodolphus mused, firing off his wand, the red blast hitting his target. The beautiful thing about the Cruciatus curse was the way it made the body twist differently every time. Waving his wand off, he let the man moan for a moment and then hurled the curse again. The screams were deep and wonderful. Rodolphus laughed shaking his head. Walking slowly toward the twitching body, Rodolphus removed the curse. "You're a monster." "Thank you." Rodolphus said, looking down at Ward's angered face, giving him a slight bow. "I've worked hard to become so." The blast was unexpected, Rodolphus could have sworn Ward's wand wasn't on him. The blast hit Rodolphus, his arm going numb and his wand dropped to the floor. Ward moved and grabbed a broken bit of pottery. Grabbing onto Rodolphus and pulling himself in close, Ward sunk the shard into his side. Rodolphus howled and fished his knife from his pocket. He stabbed Ward's side and drug the knife up under the man's ribs. Ward's clutch on Rodolphus loosened and Rodolphus beat him back down onto the floor. Kicking at the man's side, Rodolphus shook the numbness out of his arm. "You're no hero Ward. You picked the wrong side." Rodolphus growled, picking up his wand. Setting it onto a table, Rodolphus knelt down near the panting man. He pulled Ward up by his shirt and stabbed his knife in between the two bones of the man's shoulder. Letting his drop back onto the wooden planks, Rodolphus took a few steps away. He wiped at the blood that had spurted across his face and glanced down at the shard that was sticking out of him. Removing his black vest, Rodolphus turned back to Ward. Kneeling just behind his head, Rodolphus grabbed up the man's long hair. "Your time," Rodolphus said, lifting the man's head up and then slamming it down into the floor. "Is nearly up," Rodolphus continued, repeating the motion. "But believe me,"another slam. "It's not gonna seem that way," Rodolphus said, standing up and kicking the rest of his knife down in between Ward's shoulder. He smiled broadly at the scream. Grabbing his wand from the table, Rodolphus fired off the torture curse again. The yells and screams making his bones shiver, Rodolphus managed to keep the curse on him for several minutes before he had to drop his wand. It took so much energy to use it. Rodolphus would have to take a bit of a break before he could continue. Slumping onto a crate, Rodolphus watched the man's body continue to twitch and groan. [/ul]

The sun was still blazing, it was a sticky uncomfortable heat, summer before it finally gave in to the colder months of autumn. But even the heat couldn't bring Bellatrix's mood down, she had just finished torturing in order member and she had been pleased when he had put up a little fight. She liked some kind of challenge it became boring when they didn't try to fight back, or died when she was torturing them. It just spoiled her fun. There was still one thing that plagued her twisted mind, she wanted to kill her worthless good for nothing cousin Sirius Black, oh yes she had nearly killed him back in the ministry but nearly wasn't enough, she wanted to hurt him, to hear him scream, see him take his last breath.
Until then she would make do with torturing other order members, it was only a matter of time before he came out looking for her since she had already hurt so many of his friends, trying to get to him. She liked to play around with his head. She was light on her feet as she headed down Diagon Alley, plucking a paper from the stand she flicked though it, rumors with no real truth behind them, speculation... she stopped when she came across her name. Armature deatheater? she was one of the most feared deatheater there was! One of the Dark Lord's most trusted and faithful how dare someone use her name as such. She screwed the paper up and tossed it on the floor, angry red sparks spat out of the end of her wand. She didn't care if it was just someone trying to wind her up. She was going to make sure no one questioned her, even if they were just having a laugh. Nobody tried to make a fool out of Bellatrix Lestrange.
Turning on her heel quickly she headed back up the street, several people jumping out of her way as she moved quickly. A few stranglers giving her scared looking glances. Like a lioness hunting her prey she got to the store. Humph... someone had already beat her to her new little toy, But Bellatrix was never one to be left out and she could share when she wanted to, it wasn't often but she wanted to stick her own boot in the guy who dared to question her. A flick of her wand and she unlocked the door. "Started the party without me?" She pouted, as she slammed the door shut behind her. She looked at the quivering bleeding wreak on the floor."Could have shared Rodolphus... but the flithy little halfblood isn't dead yet." She ran her hand across her husband's shoulders before kicking Ward over onto his front, making sure her heel went in deep, the sudden sharp kick making him cry out.
She smiled coldly as she put the Cruciatus curse on him. "Well if you hadn't have gone shouting your mouth off then you wouldn't have been paid a visit now would you." She snapped over his screams, stupid halfblood, should have known that they would have only ignored him for so long, now it was personal.

Rodolphus said wickedly. "You think I was bad..." he added still smirking. Turning his head to look in her direction, a slight growl escaped from him as she played her hand over his shoulders. He got up to his feet as Bellatrix hovered over the wreck, his smile playing cruelly on his face. He circled around to the other side and knelt down near Ward. "No, he's not got much fight in 'im, though, Love. He can't last out much longer," Rodolphus said, coldly. Ward gritted his teeth, pounding a fist into the floor in protest. Rodolphus laughed. "Oh, that's just sad now," Rodolphus mused, wrapping his hand around the handle of his knife, one finger at the time and then pulling his knife out with a ratcheting twist. The scream was pitch perfect as Rodolphus stood back up. Walking back around, over to Bellatrix's side, Rodolphus wrapped one arm around her lithe frame and rested his chin into her shoulder. "It's a little heartbreakin'. The only good thing about him is his screams. What a tosser," Rodolphus drawled, looking down at him. "Enjoy him, Love. Careful though, he can be a bit clever with random bits of clay," Rodolphus said with a snarl, dropping his arms from Bellatrix and wrenching out the shard in his side. He let it drop and shatter as he walked back over to one of the tables, resting against it. [/ul]

"Disappointing... I was hoping for a little bit of a challenge from someone who dared question me." Though if she remembered rightly he was all mouth back at school as well. "What was the word you used?... an amateur am I?"
"Didn't.... m... mean... Tha...... that.." He stuttered though the pain. "Aww well its too late for that now isn't it." She smiled as Rodolphus pulled the knife out, the screams was just delightful. She was just like a child with a shiny new toy. A smile crossed her lips as Rodolphus rapped his arms round her, she loved nothing more than watching him torture someone. It was a huge turn on for her, her lust could wait though, her blood thirsty nature was stronger at the moment.
She yanked the halfblood up by his hair. "I may have been a little more patient with you, but you went and made it personal." She dug a piece of broken glass into his back, making him scream in pain the deeper it went in. She let him drop to the floor again as she stood up. As she stood up Ward went for the nearest piece of clay, Bella was quicker. "Anyone told you not to hit a woman?" She questioned as she stood on his hand.

Rodolphus said in a disgusted, bored tone, tapping the side of his blade against the man's chest. The cool blade slid up the man's ribs, slowly inching it's way toward his neck. It didn't slice the thin, clammy skin just yet though. Rodolphus was only teasing with the man, taking his time. A surgeon, carefully planning out the most exacting cuts. Rodolphus breathed out a laugh before the softness in his eyes left. It was one of the more terrifying things about Rodolphus. His change in emotion happened faster than most people could disapperate. Gripping up the knife in his hand firmly, he plunged it deep into Ward's neck. Careful not to sever a fatal artery, Rodolphus grinned as the blood poured out and Ward twisted in sputtering pain. Grabbing his wand from the floor, Rodolphus jabbed it into Ward's back. "Crucio!" Ward's body bolted in a painful contortion away from Rodolphus. Rodolphus stood and kept the curse on the man for as long as he could hold his concentration. A thin beading of sweat covered Rodolphus's brow before he waved the curse off. A tired grin played over his face and he walked back over to Bellatrix. "Care to finish him, Love?"[/ul]

Torture in Bellatrix's vocabulary was just another word for fun and it was one game she loved to play, she would have normally messed around with their hand a lot more but her patience had warn thin on this one, nothing more than a spineless coward that couldn't own up and face his mistakes. All the years in Azkaban had been worth it, they had suffered but they had been patient, they had been loyal to the dark lord, stayed faithful and waited until their master returned, the only regret she had was that she hadn't seen her children grow up, they hadn't been the best role models as parents but both Demetria and Damian had been brought up in the pureblood ways.
"Halfbloods were always the same. Switching sides every two minutes. Snape was just as bad. She had always said she didn't trust him and people had still turned around and said that she was just paranoid. She had the satisfaction of torturing him before he died and saying she told them so. Childish yes.... but fun. She licked her lips, she could almost hear the halfblood's heart slowing. "The longbottoms put up more of a show than this... need more fight in you Ward, Shame you left it too late..." She teased with a laugh.
The crimson colored liquid oozed onto the floor and it flowed from his neck. Resting her chin on Rodolphus's shoulder she was careful to not break his concentration as he tortured Ward some more, the screams were like music to her ears. The halfblood was just about dead anyway it was hardly worth the effort that the curse took out of you. They could just let him bleed out but that could take a while and Bellatrix knew she would get bored a lot quicker than what it would take for him to take his last breath. She smiled "Crucio." There was only so much pain the body could take before it gave up and Bellatrix liked to watch the way it twisted and twitched. She took the curse off before turning to her husband. "I'll let you kill him, its only fair." Rodolphus had started it, it was only right he should finish it.

Rodolphus mused with a bow, his hair falling down into his face. Twirling his wand in his hand, Rodolphus walked over to Ward. He brought his boot down on Ward's neck. A gentle pressure made the man twitch and writhe. "Avada kedavra!" The brilliant green blast filled the room and then just as quickly faded. His head was still down, but he turned it in her direction. "Missed you, Love. Hadn't meant to stay away as long as I did," Rodolphus mused tiredly.[/ul]

All the years in Azkaban, and they had missed so much. It marked their loyalty to the dark lord, to their master and they were rewarded for their patience but she hadn't seen Demetria and Damian grow up, Narcissa and Lucius had brought them up, witnessed every important moment in thier children's lives. First day at school, first dates.... no one could question her loyalty to the dark lord but her capability as a mother could certainly be called into question, before she was pregnant with the twins she had never seen herself as mother material, never being one of them girls that wanted a baby. Her pregnancy had become as a shock but once she had them and held them in her arms, she had become protective and attached. She would never admit it out loud but every night in Azkaban the memories had haunted her, even now every time she closed her eyes it would haunt her that for years she hadn't been there for her two children. Azkaban had changed them, whether she chose to admit it or not.
She smiled as he bowed, it was like when they first started dating, like the years in Azkaban had never happened. She wiped the blood from her hands on the fabric of her dress as she watched her husband as she had done before hundreds of times, it never failed to fascinate her. "Still can't stay away." She said with as smile, kicking the halfblood corpse out of her way. "Doesn't matter how long we're apart we still manage to find each other." She kissed him, her tongue brushed lightly against his lips. "Just don't stay away that long again."
