History::
Daniella was born to Elizabeth and Benjamin Rookward on August 19th, 1980. Her parents met in the seventies during the mauraders time. Her mother was a Ravenclaw and her father a Slytherin. Her mother had been a little reckless and arrogant in her time at Hogwarts (which is exactly the way her little sister Elizabeth II tends to be) and she had a thing for bad boys. Benjamin Rookward was one of the bad boys at that time and he often preached pureblood supremacy to the Hogwarts students of that era.
After they graduated from Hogwarts Voldemort was slowly rising in power and Benjamin was enamored by his talk of cleansing the world of muggleborns and blood traitors. He joined him when he was 18 and since he was still dating Elizabeth he tried to pretend as if he wasn't disgusted by her muggleborn heritage and carried on a meaningless relationship for a few years long enough to concieve her sister Elizabeth II and her brother Benjamin II. They even got married so their children could be raised properly.
Behind the scenes of their marriage Benjamin was becoming a full death eater as Voldemort got powerful and he urged him to rid himself of his mudblood wife so he can be in the good graces of the dark lord and the rest of the death eaters. He also tried to get him to sway his children to his side because it was a disgrace to him that one of his death eaters was the father of half muggleborn children. So, that night Benjamin went to Dani and told her to talk up the death eaters for the benefit of her siblings. But Dani was smarter than that. She always had been. She had been reading the daily prophet to keep track of Voldemort's reign of terror and she didn't like what he was doing. She then became determined not let her siblings become like their father. She refused to talk up the death eaters and started to say bad things about Voldemort in front of him and praise the order. Benjamin didn't like this and beat his oldest daughter for saying such things. He beat her so badly she had a black eye and other serious injuries not to mention she was in pain from an overdose of the cruciatus curse. The injuries left a scar on various places of her body. When Dani told her mother about it Elizabeth came to her senses when she found out her husband was a death eater and wanted to divorce him.
On the night before Dani's return to Hogwarts as a seventh year her father had been planning her mother's death. As she was packing her trunk she heard sounds coming from another room in her home and went to investigate. Her father had been throwing curses at his wife and saying all kinds of bad things about muggleborns. Dani had stepped into the fray to protect her mother but he managed to kill her with the killing curse. She managed to live and got a few more scars and injuries. As Benjamin made his escape to go tell Voldemort that his mudblood wife was dead she went to go comfort her siblings who heard the whole thing but were smart enough to stay out of the way while she tried..and failed to protect their mother.
The next morning her mother's sister Jocelyn Everett came to visit her neices and nephew. She had heard about her sister's death and became their new guardian because she didn't want them in the same house as their death eater father. Afterwards she made sure Dani's sister and brother had packed everything and escorted them to the express. It would be the last time she'd do it for Dani, having seen them off, along with her sister Elizabeth and would continue to do it for Elizabeth II and Benjamin II as they complete their Hogwarts education.
Personality::
Daniella is often referred to as the backbone of the family. She is very organized and hates it when things are out of order. As the oldest in the family it's her job to protect and look after her younger siblings so they don't get into any trouble. The one thing Daniella can't stand is pressure and arrogance and her little sister Elizabeth became difficult to live with when she got tired of being babied (so to speak) by her. She dosen't like it when people give her a hard time.
Daniella is a very smart and clever witch with an intelligence as equal as Hermione's. She often uses her intelligence to her advantage to get someone out of a sticky situation and she would never use it for personal gain. Besides being smart, Dani is very friendly and outgoing. She's fun to be around except when it's time for exams then forget about it she's a wreck. The lack of sleep makes her cranky from studying all the time and she lashes out at people when she's in such a foul mood. She is rarely tempermental and is often calm unless something makes her angry.
After her mother was killed Dani changed a little in personality. She 'lost her innocence' so to speak and constantly mourns her mother who had been her best friend. She became more protective than ever over her younger siblings and she's cranky more often because not only is it her N.E.W.T year but nightmares about the night her mother died are contributing to her sleep deprivation.

Appearance
Description::
Daniella has long brown hair and green eyes. Her hair is a lighter brown than her sister Elizabeth's but still brown. It's sort of a chestnut brown. She isn't much of a Quidditch player so she's not very athletic. Her body build is skinny/slender but she's not anorexic or anything. Her body build is just the right build for someone who doesn't do much athletic wise. She's 5'3 and 150 lbs.
Besides the Ravenclaw uniform she's a casual dresser. She also wears a necklace with an eagle charm on it her mother gave her when she was sorted into Ravenclaw. It's her most prized possession and the only thing left she has of her mother. She wears it all the time.

Meleny had been in her apartment tidying up a bit because she was bored. She came to a stop in her guest room and inhaled a familiar scent. It was the scent of her human refugee Johnothan Thrace but she didn't see him anywhere. She barely noticed anything anymore since she was engaged to her boyfriend Mikhail Demichev. She didn't know anything about the intriacies of marriage. There was a lot to do and she didn't even know where to begin. She had never been married before and besides living underground in staten island with her boyfriend and his two brothers she didn't know much about above ground. She spent all of her time underground thanks to Lucy and her reign of terror. Because of that she didn't know where to purchase a wedding dress. She didn't know many people here either except for Nikita, Adrik and to an extent Nikita's boyfriend Will Walker. It was because of all of this that in terms of planning and wedding guests she didn't know where to begin.
She left the apartment to go for a walk around town hoping to find a book that explains the steps of planning a wedding. She didn't have much time to have much of a human life after she was turned. Sometimes she wished that the events leading up to her transformation never happened but of course that would mean she never would've met the Demichevs, she never would've fallen in love with Mikhail and gotten engaged. Everything that she had now never would've happened if she stayed human. She didn't mind being a vampire much. She certainly enjoyed her fiance' and future in laws but since she was turned when she was nineteen it didn't give her much time to finish college or gain any more knowledge about the human world to bring with her into her life as a vampire. If someone had told her all those years ago when she was a human that she was going to marry Mikhail Demichev she wouldn't have believed it. It seemed that her life in between being a human and now consisted of death and bloodshed and that was all she knew. She only knew the life of a vampire with a touch of human lifestyle.
She walked into the old abandoned library without really thinking about it. She knew that was where she first met her human refugee Johnathan and she assumed that it was his scent in her guest room that led her here. She knew from her last visit here that the place was more or less deserted and didn't have very many books since so many of them were either destroyed or banned by Lucy. She hoped and prayed that marriage wasn't a subject Lucy banned. She didn't pay much attention to the things Lucy banned since she had a busy life underground. It wasn't like she could go to her and ask what sort of things she banned. She'd probably kill her for no reason. She started to peruse the shelves that had the very small amount of intact books from the fire as she stopped thinking about and analyzing Lucy. The only thing she wanted to think about now was Mikhail.
