The Daily Prophet
You-Know-Who Falls
The Dark Lord has finally fallen, but those left in his wake will never forget what it was like to live in the days of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. His massive following left behind nothing but death and destruction, and countless wizards have already felt what it is to lose everything. But hope has already made itself known - Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived, has brought us a new age. An age of peace and rebirth. And though he has delivered us from the hands of evil, he remains adamant that Albus Dumbledore, the former Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, is responsible for this new golden age.
But what lies in store for the wizarding world at large now that its greatest foe has been defeated? Only time will tell. Until then, keep reading as we bring you day-to-day coverage of the rebuilding of ruins.
Rebuilding of Ruins
Insiders within Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry have informed us that the school will be in the care of Professor Minerva McGonagall, former Deputy Headmistress. Taking her place as Deputy Head, will be Professor Filius Flitwick, Charms professor and current Head of Ravenclaw House. The school is now is the process of being rebuilt after the mayhem that befell it during the Final Battle. Though there has also been talk of disbanding the houses to promote unity, these rumors have not been verified and are without foundation.
Ministry Reformation
Pending the death of former Minister of Magic, Rufus Scrimgeour, the Ministry has been left in the capable hands of Kingsley Shaklebolt, former Auror. Many changes have been made since his arrival, including the sacking of Dolores Jane Umbridge, former Senior Undersecretary for the Minister. The same day Ms. Umbridge was let go, Harry Potter was instated as Head Auror, making him the youngest Auror in the history of the Ministry. There are no doubts, however, that young Mr. Potter can perform the job. Many people feel that he should have been Minister. Potter's response to these comments was a humble, "Kingsley Shaklebolt will do a better job than I ever could. His strong nature and political finesse will shortly win over the entire wizarding community."
Well, Mr. Potter, we sure hope so. And we wish you luck with your duties.
NOW
Wizarding World
It's been almost 75 years and the wizarding world is still rebuilding after Voldemort's reign of terror, but peace is only fleeting. In the Dark Lord's absence, other dark wizards now vie for ultimate power. Rising from the depths of the shadows, these sinister characters will do whatever in their power to claim the title of Dark Lord. And the innocent will once again be caught in the middle of good and evil.
Hogwarts
In school, students learn of the four founders much like muggle children learn of King Arthur and his knights. But few think much more of them. Until now. One student from each house is about to be given the most interesting owl of their life. The founders have returned - though they never truly left - and are now attempting to contact these four trustworthy children in hopes of preparing them for the dark future that lies ahead. But how can a Slytherin possibly heed the ramblings of Godric Gryffindor? And how could a Gryffindor ever put store in an old fool who thinks he's Salazar Slytherin? The Ravenclaws are too smart to believe that Helga Hufflepuff would ever write a letter to them, and a Hufflepuff views the message as little more than a prank from their clever Ravenclaw rivals. Will these students ever believe the truth? Better yet, will they believe the truth in time?
The Ministry
Down in the bowels of the Ministry - the Department of Mysteries, to be more exact - lurks a hidden truth. One the wizarding world has long kept secret. How many times was Harry Potter told the dead could not come back? How many times was he told to let go of them, let them rest? And how many times has he seen beyond the Veil? The archway young Potter witnessed during the battle at the Ministry was a simple taste of the truth, one that he had not thought to pursue. As his godfather, Sirius, fell beneath its deathly wisps of cloth, Harry knew in his heart that he could be reached, could be brought back.
And he was right.
The only problem is, now someone knows it. And their decision of what to do with the precious information could change the wizarding world forever.
