Demeter is Bella's only daughter, so she is over protective of her. So much that she simply refuses to let her daughter be branded with the Dark Mark until she completes her studies. Bella is very close to her daughter and will always be there for her. Its not a good idea for anyone to mess with the daughter of Bellatrix Lestrange.
