No one now-a-days liked going about on the streets by themselves, with the fear that they would be attacked. No one would hang around or be separated from the group they were in. The streets weren't safe for anyone except Death Eaters. Now call Kelly stupid for been out and about on her own but she wasn't going to be scared into hiding. So she was a muggleborn, both her mother and her father were muggles, there was only one member of her family apart from her sisters that were magical and that was their Aunt Chloe.
Kelly needed some last minute things for school, she sighed as some people pushed past her, no one stopping to chat. The shop windows were covered in posters of missing people, wanted death eaters. The world was no longer a very nice place. She pulled her bag onto her shoulder more securely as she walked, keeping her head down. The last thing she needed were trouble. But she kept her wand tightly in her hand. Ready to use it if she needed to.
Her dark brown eyes looked up briefly to make sure she wasn't going to walk into anyone. She hated shopping now, she couldn't enjoy it. Stopping she put some of her bags down as she got a cigarette from out of her pocket. She lit it before taking a long drag. She really should stop smoking but she kept putting it off.

Demi found shopping very boring, she had only come to Diagon Alley to get out of the manor for a bit. She loved her mother to pieces and in Demi's eyes there weren't a witch that was better than her mother, but they did need some space from each other. Demi was nearly 18, and was more than capable of looking after herself. She wasn't shy with a wand, she had inherited her mother's skill at dueling. She wasn't innocent, far from innocent. She was a murderer herself, killed a mudblood just because he annoyed her and well because he was a mudblood. Well he didn't just annoy her he had insulted the Dark Lord and her family, she went into a rage when someone insulted them so she killed him. She had felt no remorse for it, her face just remained emotionless. She remembered that day like it was yesterday.
She walked down the cobbles that made Diagon Alley, the few people that were out and about went out of their way to avoid walking anywhere near her. She got some feared looks, everyone knew who her parents were, and people said that she were almost as insane as her mother. Demi herself wouldn't say that she was insane, she would say that she was a very twisted girl. But insane?.. a little mad, maybe.
She headed for the leaky cauldron, she needed a drink. Tossing some of her hair back behind her shoulder she walked nearer to Kelly. A cruel smile crossed her thin lips. She was going to play one of her little games to mess with the Mudblood. She stopped just at the entrance of the leaky cauldron and looked at Kelly, she tilted her head, blocking the doorway."Not safe for a mudblood to be out here all by herself.." She said smoothly. "Would have thought you would have headed for the hills by now."

Great, that was all she needed. Out of all the people to bump into she had to run into Demeter Lestrange, who was probably as insane as her mother. She breathed out the smoke from the cigarette and dropped the end on the floor, crushing it with the heel of her shoe. She tooked some of her hair behind her ear, she wasn't going to be scared into hiding. Call her stupid but she wasn't scared of Demeter, Demeter was nothing more than a bully, who thought she was better than anyone else just because of who her parents were.
"Who said I'm by myself?" She said glancing at her. "And as of not been safe, I've been out here all day... and guess what nothing's happened." She said walking past her to go in the leaky Cauldron. She smiled to herself, she had put up with Demeter for the last 6 years. They could have been friends, they were nice to each other the first time they met in their first year going to Hogwarts, when Kelly was sorted into Ravenclaw and Demeter found out that that Kelly was muggleborn, she turned nasty. Demeter bullied Kelly on every chance she got.
"Just a glass of water please." She said as she got to the bar. She smiled as she got her drink and sat down at a vacant table, though saying that the bar was almost empty these days anyway.

"You've been lucky... only a matter of time before your luck runs out." She said simply. She moved her hand as the mudblood pushed past her. She didn't want the stench of mudblood on her. She turned on her heel and walked into the leaky cauldron after her. No one walked away from her and got away with it. From the shadows she saw her get a drink and sit down on one of the table. Where was Draco when she wanted him around, so Demi was more than capable of sorting a mudblood out but he liked torturing them almost as much as she did.
She went over to the bar and ordered a firewhiskey. She went over the table that Kelly was sat at and put her drink down making sure that the sound of it hitting the table was enough to make her jump. She lent over the table, "Alright now you listen to me and I suggest you listen carefully." She said smoothly. "I don't need a reason to hurt a filthy little mudblood like you, and if I had my way I would have you begging for death." She said coldly, her voice dangerously low. "I know that you like my cousin." she carried on before Kelly to interrupt. "I haven't finished... you stay away from him. He wouldn't see anything in a mudblood like you anyway... but try anything and I will kill you and I will enjoy it." She said before standing up. She put on a sickly sweet voice. "Have a nice day." she said before walking over to another table.

She jumped as the glass hit the table. Oh no, Demi knew that she had a slightly small crush on Draco Malfoy. So Kelly knew that nothing was going to come out of it, like demi said what would he ever see in someone like her? She managed to stop herself from blushing, she was a terrible lier - anyone that knew her could tell when she was lying. Luckily Demeter didn't know her that well so she wouldn't be able to see that she was lying or at least she hoped that she wouldn't know.
"I can assure you that I don't like anything about your arrogant cousin." She said confidently. "and I never will so you have nothing to worry about. Though I could refuse to do your homework for you this year." She said taking a drink. Demi was capable of getting the grades that she got even without Kelly doing her work for her, demi was just lazy.
She sighed as Demi walked away, she had to get rid of her crush on Draco Malfoy. It was just a stupid crush - he was horrible to Kelly and her friends. So why did she have a crush?

'' Well what do we have hear? looks like a dirty mudblood to me. Hey Dems..'' Natalie said lowering the hood of her cloak as she stood by her friend she looked at Kelly rolling her eyes she had to admit she hadn't wanted to go anywhere but she had to get away from her annoying little sister for awhile, Diagon ally was the only place she could think of besides she wanted a drink noticing the girl's cigarette she covered her mouth coughing the idea of someone smoking around her made her rather sick to her stomach but that was possibly the only thing that really bothered her but only because her grand father had passed away from lung cancer so she was rather disgusted but if the muddblood wanted to destroy her lungs that was her problem.

Demeter threw Kelly a cold look when she heard what she said about Draco, No one said anything about anyone she cared about in her family and got away with it. She clenched her fingers around her wand, but as she was going to pull her wand out Natalie showed up. "Oh yeah a filthy little mudblood, that's a little too brave for her own good." Demeter was still pissed off at not been made Head Girl but as her mother said it was probably because that oaf Dumbledore was still headmaster and because she was a Lestrange - he didn't trust her with power.
A cruel smile crossed her lips. She tossed some of her long hair back as she glanced at Natalie she lowered her voice. "how about we play a little game with the mudblood." She was bored and Kelly seriously needed to be showed that purebloods were superior.

'' I'm up for a game, maybe a little lesson because no one calls Draco Malfoy arrogant then gets away with it..'' Natalie said softly as she gripped her wand tightly in her hand she was up for the challenge besides it was clear this muddblood had no idea who she was dealing with like Draco Natalie had been marked by the dark lord, quite a few people feared her entire family borgin included it was obvious that disrespecting any slytherin had it's price although Kelly didn't know that she was a raven claw one of the revelries of slytherin besides anyone who knew these two girls knew they weren't forces to be reckoned with mostly because it was in their blood the two together could be very nasty to those they didn't like which was now being made a point.

Kelly sighed, glancing at the cigarette that laid near her, she had only taken a drag from it. She had only socially smoked before she started dating her ex Seth. She had only smoked one a month if that. When she started dating Seth she stopped completely, now that she had broken up with seth she needed a new bad habit. So choosing a fight with Demi Lestrange wasn't the best idea in the world but Kelly wasn't scared of her, she had already had to go though the humilation of having to go to the ministry, to the muggleborn registrar and prove that a member of her family was magical - just so she could continue to study at Hogwarts. As it was her aunt chloe was a witch and she had also found out that her great great great Grandmother was also a witch but had married a muggle.
She glanced up at Demeter and Natalie, from out of the corner of her eye, she knew that were up to something. Probably something horrible to her no doubt, she was used to it by now. Demi always picked on her.

ooc: Figured I could join in on this one. Let me know if you'd rather me not, and I'll delete my post.
Draco walked into the Leaky Cauldron after finally abandoning his mum, who'd been insisting that she accompany him wherever he go... just in case. Just what, exactly, she believed would happen to him, though, was completely beyond him. People practically fled as he walked along the winding path of Diagon Alley, a new pair of robes slung over a shoulder, a smugly superior look on his face. Whether it was because he was a Malfoy, a death eater, or just exerted a pureblood aura, he didn't know, but assumed it was a bit of all of them. He was not one to be approached by the common wizard, and everyone seemed to know it.
He quickly went through a mental checklist as he walked. Robes? Check. School books? His mum had agreed to go search for them on her own, so that seemed to be in order, too. So, deciding that a firewhiskey would be in order, he stopped in front of the Leaky Cauldron and pushed open the door, allowing it to creak open.
His piercing gaze landed automatically on Demi and Natalie, and he strolled over to them, chin lifted arrogantly. They were speaking in hushed tones, looking mischevious, which he took to be a good sign for him, a bad one for whoever they happened to be plotting against this time. When he'd reached them, he slung one arm over each of their shoulders, a smirk playing on his lips. "Who's the lucky victim today?" he asked, arching an eyebrow.

'' Miss Kelly Jones My dear..'' Natalie said with a slight smirked picking up Draco's cologne she didn't mind it she knew he flirted so did she, he had no idea but she only flirted with other slytherin's because any other house was beneath her she was a death eater but also known as the slytherin princess even Pansy Parkinson was unworthy of her which wasn't saying much, she tightened her grip on her wand as she looked toward Kelly who showed no fear at all that pissed her off no one pissed her off it was a really bad idea most people knew that but it had been a rather bad day for her because her sister had been annoying her basically all day all her things were school were already packed including her new robes.

"Finally got away from Aunt Narcissa?" Demeter smirked when Draco showed up, she should have guessed that he would show up. Usually where ever Demi was Draco or Damian wouldn't be that far behind. Though she was starting to wonder why Draco and Natalie even bothered dating because they just flirted with over people, and Demeter knew for a fact that Draco did more than just flirt with other girls. Of course Demeter couldn't really talk, she didn't have boyfriends, she had dates and various snogging partners, but as soon as the guy called her 'his girlfriend' she bailed. Everyone said that she would be too much for one guy anyone - she would wear them thin, And of course guys usually got scared off by Draco or Damian. As her cousin and brother repeatedly told her that no one was good enough for her anyway. "I was starting to wonder where you were dear cousin." She said with a mischevious grin. "Come to join our little game?"
She nodded in Kelly's direction, "You remember Jones...." She said simply. "She's usually the one we bully into doing our homework." Sure she was a mudblood but even they had to admit that she was smart. Kelly usually beat them even when Demi tried, and she could be very smart when she wanted to be.

"Did you think I wouldn't?" Draco pointed out to Demi, a smug smirk on his face. He was a master of sneaking around, especially lately, and giving his mother the slip was easy compared to some of the things he'd been doing. She usually kept a hawks-eye on him, but if he did so much as to mention a mission from the Dark Lord, she was more willing to let him go off on his own. After all, he was seventeen-- old enough to walk around Diagon Alley without a chaperone, that much was certain. "Jones? Yeah, she looks vaguely familiar." At this point, he spared a glance for the aforementioned girl. "And game? I'm in. What is it this time?"
Both of the girls had mentioned the Jones girl, and both of them, while sending him smirks, looked less than pleased with the Mudblood. Which was a normal reaction, of course, but Natalie particularly was sending her death glares, and he decided that something must have happened without his knowledge. He looked confused for a moment as he glanced over at the girl seated at the table, then looked between Demi and Natalie once more, withdrawing his arm from around his cousin. "Though, I have a feeling I missed something." he added.

"Like I ever doubted it." She said with a smirk. "Wow you've missed a lot." She said when he said that he had the feeling the he missed something. "Well, little miss I'm too brave for my own good over there, isn't scared of me." Which was an insult to her, she did not spend the last god knows how many years being a complete bitch to nearly everyone just to have a filthy mudblood that wasn't scared of her. Now either Kelly had a death wish or she was just incredibly stupid. "Not to mention her throwing several insults our way."
No one insulted her and got away with it. "But that's not even the best part." She said been very sarcastic. "She actually thinks that a pureblood like you would see something in her." She said raising her eyebrows after she spoke knowing that Draco would get the fact that the mudblood had a crush on him. "Then she denied it and called you arrogant... which only I'm allowed to call you when I'm pissed off."

She averted her eyes quickly when Draco showed up. 'Someone up there must really hate me' She thought to herself. Why did she has to have a stupid crush on him, she had hated him all the way though school, there was nothing about him she liked - or at least that was what she kept telling herself. She couldn't hear what they were saying and quite honestly she didn't want to know what they were talking about. Demeter would no doubt be planning some new way to make her life miserable.
She took another drink from her glass, before pulling a book out from one of her bags. She opened it, glancing though the pages doing her best to ignore the three slytherins, who probably really hated her equally. She wasn't scared of them as she had already told Demeter, she wasn't scared of her and there was no way she was going to hide just because her parents were muggles.

Draco listened to his cousin's explanation with a straight face, his mind already formulating a plan. Insulting his family, not only with words but with the idea that he'd be interested in someone with less than pureblood status? This girl had another thing coming to her if she thought she'd be able to continue along her way undamaged after something like that. With a devious glint in his eye, his mind made up, he just nodded and smirked. "Leave it to me."
Then, without another word, he allowed the smirk to slip off his face and walked swiftly over to Kelly's table, turning a chair around and sitting backwards in it across from her, arms crossed over the back, chin resting on his arms. He simply stared at her for a few moments before actually speaking. "Heard you insulted me. 'Arrogant' was the word, wasn't it?" he asked, with no coldness in his voice, but no warmth either. He was still staring at her, an eyebrow arched, almost as though challenging her.

She glanced over the top of her book, as Malfoy sat down opposite her. She was determined to ignore him but, she usually had snappy smart remarks to make, and she couldn't help herself. She tended to say things without thinking and that would just make things ten times worse for her. She may be a Ravenclaw and smart but she never thought of the consequences of her actions.
"That's because you are arrogant Malfoy." She said simply, as she tucked a piece of her long brown hair behind her hair. "And that was a polite way of putting it." She could think of a lot worse words to use that would be perfect to describe him, she just never used them unless she had to. She smiled to herself remembering when Hermione told her that she had hit him, and called him a 'foul lonesome evil little cockroach.' She put the book down on the table when she felt his eyes still on her. "What do you want Malfoy?" Because honestly there was nothing he or his cousin could do to her that would make her feel any worse than what she already felt.

Draco said nothing when she insulted him, the same somewhat expressionless smirk on his face as he stared at her for a few moments, all in silence. His chin was still resting on the top of his hands, his white-blonde hair flopping over an eye, but that didn't stop his piercing gaze from remaining on her for a few seconds longer than necessary. "Aren't we feeling brave today?" he said finally, shaking his hair back before returning to his previous position.
When she asked after his motives, however, he just smirked a bit wider and lifted his head. "Nothing. Just wanted to see the girl who's probably just gotten herself into the worst mess she can imagine. You see, I could care less if you insult me... It's a refreshing change." he told her, winking almost inperceptibly, before glancing over at Natalie and his cousin. "Demi, on the other hand, looks just about itching to rip you limb from limb. Can't imagine Nat's any better."

"And why should I feel brave?" She asked, her usually warm brown eyes were cold. "I'm not scared of you and I'm not scared of your insane cousin." She said coldly, everyone knew that Demeter was just as bad as her mother. She glanced in Demeter's direction before standing up, she picked up her bags. "You are both pathetic. And there's nothing you can do to me to make me feel any worse." She had already had to go to the ministry of magic just to register as a muggle born and prove that she had someone magical in her family.
She rolled her eyes, purebloods were so infuriating. They thought they were so much better than anyone else. Demeter and her brother were probably the worst ones. Malfoy was just been a big jerk, and a lot of other words she could think of that described him. She was just too decent to say them, her parents had brought her up better than lowering herself to their level.

Natalie scratched her head as she watched Draco talk with the muddblood rolling her eyes she tightened her grip on her wand keeping it hidden under her cloak as she leaned against the bar looking at the time she would be in alot of trouble if she didn't meat her mom back at Diagon Alley she'd be grounded for sure but she had managed to get out of quite alot since becoming a death eater all she had to say was she had business dealing with the dark lord, her mother was more then obliged to let her roam on her own besides she wasn't that far from turning eighteen not to mention she could clearly take after herself even if her mother didn't believe she could half the time.
