Education Level:: She learnt at Hogwarts until her 7th year. Anything past that is kept silent and she’s more interested in home-making for the time being. She got top level in most OWLS and NEWTS, failing only Charms at Newt Level.
House:: Ex-Slytherin. Loathed every minute of it.
Current Events:: Andromeda is currently busy feeding and caring for her husband. She is also watching over her only child and caring for Nymphadora as a mother should. Much as she misses her younger and older sisters she has no wish to change sides. She remains a part of the Order of the Phoenix’s group of supporters.

History::
The Family: -
Andromeda was the second daughter of Cygnus and Druella Black (née Rosier) and middle sister of Bellatrix Lestrange and Narcissa Malfoy. Walburga and Alphard Black were her aunt and uncle on her father's side, and Sirius and Regulus Black her cousins. Evan Rosier may be a relative on her mother's side. Orion Black was her uncle by marriage, as well as her second cousin once removed.
She was Sirius Black's favourite cousin, but he never met her post-marriage family before his imprisonment in Azkaban.
Early Life: -
There has been some speculation that Andromeda may have been in a Hogwarts house other than Slytherin, but a statement by Horace Slughorn in 1996 strongly suggests that the Blacks were, almost without exception, members of Slytherin, meaning that Andromeda would also have been a member of this House. Thus, Andromeda may be an example of a "good Slytherin".
At some point during or after her education at Hogwarts, Andromeda met Ted Tonks, a Muggle-born wizard. Despite her family's steadfast belief in the importance of blood purity, Andromeda married Ted and was subsequently disowned and burned off the family tapestry in 12 Grimmauld Place by her aunt. Statements by her sisters indicate that both of them cut off contact with Andromeda because they considered her a blood traitor for her marriage.
Andromeda and Ted had one child, Nymphadora Tonks. Andromeda selected the name, which her daughter strongly disliked, preferring to be known simply as "Tonks". Andromeda had a talent for cleanliness that her husband and daughter did not share.

Personality:: Andromeda Tonks comes from a family of nasty people. She herself is an outcast as she insisted on marrying Ted, a muggle-born wizard. She is gentle and loving to members of her family and still misses her sisters despite their habits of rudeness and destruction. That being said she stands firmly on the neutral ground, she allows the Order to use her home as she knows her daughter needs her support, however she has not yet given up hope of Bella or Cissa coming to the good side.
Those who have met Bella often seem to flinch away from her until they notice the differences in the way she speaks and looks. She has a gentler tone than her sister and looks slightly different. Her eyes are a gentle brown and her hair is a lighter colour of brown.
Many seem to pity her until they notice the steely look of strength coming from within. Sure she’s gentle and soft-spoken but there is something that shines from her. She has the family’s strength but chooses to use it for good or when otherwise needed.

Appearance
Description:: Andromeda has the misfortune of looking a little like her sister Bellatrix. Her eyes are gentle though and she looks kinder than Bella. She wears her hair in several different styles, although left to itself it tends to spring into a riot of messy curls. Her hair, though it looks like Bella’s is softer and easier to tame, it also lacks the white streaks as she has had a relatively easy life. She would have gone to see her sister if she hadn’t known that Bella would try to kill her anyway. She does bear some signs of stress, mainly slight wrinkles near her eyes.
Clothing wise she tends to dress in simple but colour-filled clothing. She does have a few black clothes, mostly from visiting graves and funerals. That being said she would never be seen in all black and she refuses to dye her hair a darker colour as she knows then it would be near-impossible to tell her apart from her sister.

RP Example (3 paragraphs) Andromeda Tonks stood staring at a photo of her sisters, and herself. She was wondering, as always, what had gone so wrong that Bella and Cissa had turned out to be on The Dark Lord’s side.
She herself was careful to stay neutral but she doesn’t discourage her daughter from her path as an Auror. She knows it will be tough, isn’t it always? But then she has managed to stay on the level so far.
What had made her think about her sisters and their choices was a simple letter from a close school friend she still writes to, asking whether she has heard anything of her sisters. No, she hasn’t and it’s beginning to bother her. What is going on? Are her sisters dead? The only thing that makes her turn now is a sound behind her… “Hello?”
