History::
Ron was born into the Weasley family as the youngest male, and grew up feeling as though he were overshadowed by his family’s achievements. Though, his attitude was helped a bit in his first year, where he met Harry Potter and instantly became friends with him. Being the best friend of the ‘Boy Who Lived’ helped his self-esteem for a bit, and when they met Hermione Granger a bit later on, the three became inseparable, often called the Golden Trio.
He was sorted into Gryffindor, as everyone in his family was, and went through his school years working alongside Harry and Hermione to bring down Voldemort, who everyone believed to be dead. Though, while working, he began to see Hermione in a different light, and has long-since harbored a soft-spot for her, though would never admit it.
The years at Hogwarts, however, have been anything but ordinary, even by wizarding standards. In his first year, he helped Harry solve the secret of the Sorceror's stone, and willingly sacrificed himself down in the chamber during the Wizarding chess game. And, as soon as Hermions had revived him, they ran off to owl Dumbledore, who ultimately saved Harry's life. And, the stone was safe.
In his second year, there was an outbreak of panic regarding the Chamber of Secrets, and he and Harry transformed into Crabbe and Goyle, trying to coax secrets from Draco Malfoy. Later, in attempts to save his sister, the two also traveled to the Chamber, and he helped to ensure it was closed for good.
Third year, he helped Sirius Black escape (though, granted, first thought to kill him) and spent the year in a panic before then.
In his fourth year, he was sent under the lake at one point, with Hermione, Cho, and Fleur's little sister, and spent the rest of the year trying his best to help Harry with the Triward Tournament (when he wasn't sulking about it, of course). That year finally ended when Cedric was killed and Voldemort returned to life, filling him with panic and a desire to do something, anything to help stop him.
During his fifth year, the students at Hogwarts were stuck with a woman by the name of Dolores Umbridge as their DADA teacher, and immediately, Ron hated her. As they weren't allowed to perform spells, he helped found a group that Harry would lead, eventually calling themselves the DA. This improved everyone's skills greatly, which proved to be an advantage for when they went to the Ministry and helped fight off the Death Eaters.
Sixth year was an emotional upheavel in terms of love. After discovering that Hermione had likely been snogging Viktor Krum, he got himself into a purely physical relationship with Lavendar Brown, and they had no inhibitions around snogging everywhere, most of the time in plain sight of Hermione. However, Hermione didn't seem to be too upset about it (apart from when she'd sent a flock of birds to attack him), so as soon as he realized this, he broke things off with the girl.
This year, he spends most of his time looking through books (something he wouldn't have even dreamed up last year), trying to aide Harry in any way he can on the search for Horcruxes.
Personality::
Just as Ron’s inherited the Weasley looks, he’s also inherited the temper, which proves to be as fiery as his hair. No matter how he tries to stay calm, he’s typically always worked up about something, no matter how small the matter seems. Usually, this is a result of jealousy. He always has to have the last word in an argument, particularly with Hermione, just because he can, even if the remark is stupid.
But, when he is in one of his rare calm moods, Ron is a decent guy. He’s fiercely loyal to his friends (another reason his temper can spark) and would willingly sacrifice himself for both Harry and Hermione, as well as any member of his family (except maybe Percy, but he could hardly be considered ‘family’ anymore.) He’s nice at heart, though a bit clueless in regards to the opposite sex, though has gotten a bit better about it this year, now that the tone of the school has gotten a bit more serious.
He often feels overshadowed by his friends: after all, Harry Potter is famous around the Wizarding World, and Hermione around school, as she’s the brightest witch ever to roam the corridors. Thus, he’ll often go into sulks, just to be pulled out of them again by one of the prior.
Likes:: Wizards’ Chess, Exploding Snap, Hermione Granger, being with his friends, Quidditch
Dislikes:: Slytherins, pureblood mania, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, Death Eaters, being talked down to, anyone who insults his friends or family
Appearance
Description::
Ron is the typical Weasley boy: tall and lanky, with firey red hair that flops lazily over his forehead and a somewhat disheveled appearance. He towers above many of his classmates, even the guys, standing at a whopping 6'2, which proves useful, but can get awfully annoying. He has hazel eyes, a brownish-blue color, and a lopsided smile.
He dresses casually most of the time, often found in a sweater his mum knit for him, and jeans—in other words, Muggle clothing, atleast on the weekends. When in classes, he’s obviously in his uniform, though keeps the tie loose and the shirt untucked whenever he can manage to get away with it.
Picture::
Celebrity:: Rupert Grint
RP Example
Ron trudged up the stairs to the Owlery, a slightly crumped scroll of parchment clutched loosely in his hands, an unpleasant look on his face. He'd just received the weekly owl from his mum (sometimes coming twice a week, now that everything seemed dangerous), which consisted of about a million pages (okay, it was only four, but it seemed like an eternity was spent reading it, and her handwriting was awfully small), all speaking about how he had best be on his best behavior, keeping out of trouble, and should be looking after Ginny.
It wasn't as though Ginny needed anyone looking after her-- after all, she was more than capable of looking after herself, and made it obvious to everyone around her. Secondly, she knew he wasn't behaving himself and keeping out of trouble. He might not have been as bad as his twin brothers about getting on professors' bad sides, but he was hardly a great student, and along with Harry, had a knack for getting into trouble. He thought of it as a magnet, for it always seemed to come to him, unasked for.
Nonetheless, he'd written a short letter back about how he was most definately behaving himself (yeah, right.) and that Ginny was doing well at Hogwarts, under his careful eye (she'd likely punch him if she'd read that, as that was about the farthest thing in the world from the truth). And, with each step towards the actual Owlery, he cursed the fact that she'd made him lie. Ron Weasley wasn't a liar... He just fibbed from time to time when backed into a corner.
Finally he reached the landing, and it wasn't long before Pig flew down fron the rafters, chirping happily and zooming around his head, far too energetic for 8 in the morning. After a few moments he managed to catch the bird and was struggling to keep it still long enough to tie the letter on when he heard footsteps behind him.
