Current Events:: Hermione is currently attending her 7th year at Hogwarts and with the war waging all around her, times are getting darker and scary. She has swore to stick by with Harry and Ron all the way to the end and will help bring Voldemort down. She is also worrying about NEWTs even though if they don't win this war, then she'll never be able to get a job and will have to go into hiding since she's a muggleborn. She is also deciding if she should just get over Ron or actually tell him how she feels.
Background
Family:: Both parents are muggle dentists.
History:: Hermione was born on September 19, 1979 to two muggle dentists. She grew up not knowing that she was a witch but just knowing that she was different. She always felt like she needed to prove herself and was constantly reading books to gain as much knowledge as possible. She was quite happy to learn that she was a witch and that she would be going to a school with others that were like her. To her, this was a fresh start to make friends and she quickly read up on Hogwarts and the wizarding world.
In her first year at Hogwarts, Hermione met Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley on the Hogwarts Express. Their first thought of her was a bossy know-it-all but after they saved her from a troll, they became best friends. The Golden Trio, as they were known, soon were on a mission to figure out why someone was trying to take the Sorceror's Stone. Hermione soon saved them from Devil's Snare after Ron had the inability to relax when he was told to do so. She then used her brain to get by Snape's riddle so that Harry could continue on to face Voldemort and Quirrell.
In her second year, Hermione faced yet another danger. Someone had opened up the Chamber of Secrets and was attacking muggleborns. At first, the trio accused Malfoy but soon learned that he wasn't Slytherin's heir. After learning that Harry was a parseltongue, many other students thought that he was actually Slytherin's heir but Hermione and Ron stuck by his side no matter what, knowing that it wasn't him that was attacking the students. During one of Harry's quidditch matches, Hermione was attacked by the basilik after finding it out. She clutched the note in her hand so that Harry and Ron could figure it out later and help them be successful in closing the Chamber once again.
In her third year, Harry was in danger for a mass murderer, Sirius Black, was after him. She continued to shine in all her classes while she was using a Time Turner to get to all of them. It did prove to stressful to her which lead her to drop some of them next year. She was able to figure out that the new DADA professor Remus Lupin was a werewolf. She soon learned that Sirius Black was innocent. She then went back in time to save him from the Dementor's kiss and Buckbeak from execution. Unfortunately, Ron couldn't go since Sirius had accidently hurt his leg while trying to get Harry's attention.
In her fourth year, Harry's life was put into danger as he was drawn as one of the champions. She found herself the love interest of Bulgarian's star seeker, Viktor Krum. She eventually went with him to the Yule Ball that ended disasterously when she argued with Ron at the end of the night. She was then put under the lake with Ron, Gabrielle Delacour, and Cho Chang as part of Task 2 so the champions could save them. She was Viktor's target since he prized her the most. It was during the next task that Hermione watched Harry come back with Cedric's dead body, declaring that Voldemort was still alive.
In her fifth year, Hermione spent the summer at Grimmauld's Place with Ron. They sent very few letters to Harry since they couldn't tell him anything on Dumbledore's orders. Harry soon came though and was greatly angered that his friends were hiding things from them. They sooned learned that the ministry was trying to control Hogwarts through the new DADA professor, Dolores Umbridge. With Ron's help, Hermione persuaded Harry to start Dumbledore's Army. The DA, as it was known, trained students to be ready to fight especially with no one believing Harry that Voldemort was back. After the Battle at the Ministry, it was then that the world plunged into terror.
In her sixth year, the fear of Voldemort was starting to spread quickly. But that wasn't Hermione's problem this year. For a very long time, she had been in love with Ron but he never seem to notice her. Jealousy got the best of her as she didn't talk to him for a half of a year when he was going out with Lavendar Brown. It soon became obvious though, especially after the almost death incident, that Ron didn't like her back. They soon became talking and eventually Lavendar broke up with Ron, thinking that he was cheating on her with Hermione. In reality, Harry was under the invisibility cloak so the two actually weren't alone together about to walk out of the common room. But Lavendar never knew that.
Personality:: Hermione loves to read and can ususally be found int he library. She doesn't mind studying and usually does her homework a whole week in advance. She is a complete know-it-all and comes off as a bookworm. She doesn't really mind unless Ron makes fun of her. She can spit out information straight out of a textbook. She knows most of the laws and can counter most arguments with all the knowledge she had gained which proves to be useful.
But this usually leads her to be quite argumentive. She can be found arguing with Ron the most and is known for denying her feelings for him. Well, they both are and are afraid to destroy their friendship. She cares a lot for her friendship and is extremely loyal. She can be a bit bossy at times and can come off as a know-it-all when she corrects people but she is kind and brave. She is willing to stick up for her friends and doesn't take no crap from anybody including Malfoy.
Her caring nature has also helped developed an early conscience. She believes that house-elf and other creatures are currently mistreated and need more rights. She always fought for what she believes in and never gave in. She even created SPEW that promoted house-elf rights. She even tried to fight for Buckbeaks but ended up losing the case anyways. That didn't really matter since she ended up saving it by going back in time.

Appearance
Description:: Hermione is known for her brown bushy hair that she usually wears down or will put it up to keep out of her face. Over the years, it has become less bushy and more curly. She has also styled it while growing out her bangs so she would be able to tuck them behind her ears. Sometimes they hang in front of her face, getting in the way while she's concentrating but she doesn't normally notice.
Hermione also has big brown eyes that go alone with her hair. They can hold so much fire in them at times and then so much love at other times. People can tell what kind of mood she's in by just looking at her eyes. If they're screwed up in concentration, then she's most likely reading, studying, or doing homework. She may even be concentrating on the current mystery that the trio is trying to figure out.
Not known for much of a body in the first couple of years at Hogwarts, she has grown up a lot over the years. Her curves fit her body as well as she has matured in other areas. All in all, she has grown up and is more comfortable with her 17 year old body. She's average height even though she is the shortest of the trio. She doesn't mind much knowing that most boys are usually taller than girls anyways. She doesn't have a huge athletic build since she doesn't play any sports. But she is fit since she has to be for the war and fighting against Voldemort and his deatheaters.

Hermione waited for one of them to respond and had decided that she might turn around to see what the hold up. But then she heard Ron's voice. She smiled to herself, hearing his usual excuse. She was about to ask Harry his reason, assuming that it was the same reason but Ron beat her to the punch. She turned around quickly, surprisingly not breaking her neck in the process. It ws just Ron standing there which meant that until Harry came they would be studying alone together. She felt her heart skip a beat as she stared at the boy in front of her.
She finally found her voice again and shrugged. "I thought that you might know," she said, turning back around and opening up a book. "Well we might as well get to studying." She would make sure Harry heard about this later for being late or not showing up. But here she was, stuck with Ron all alone. She was feeling a bit awkward with her and Ron alone here without Harry. She looked behind her and gave him a small smile. Merlin, did he look so cute standing there. She shook those thoughts out of her head, knowing that they were just friends. They would never be nothing more especially since they were always bickering.
"Are you going to sit down or what?" she asked, smirking slightly. He certainly couldn't stand there forever. It would only make the situation more awkward, something that Hermione was starting to think that Harry did on purpose. It was like him and Ginny planned this or something. Both of them swore that they were meant to be and should just get on with it. But Hermione was positive that Ron didn't share the same feelings that she did for him. Or he wouldn't have gone out with Lavendar last year and did all that snogging in front of her. It was repulsive.
"I was thinking that we should start with Potions first since you seem to have troube with it," Hermione stated, pulling out her potios book. "Then we could go on to Transfiguration and then finish the night off with some Defense Against the Dark Arts. I'm sure you will find that fun anyways." She knew that she would enjoy it since it was more practical stuff other than dry bookwork that they would have to do for potions and transfigurations. She mgiht as well be doing their homework for them though since sh was practically giving them all the answers.
She opened up her book, skimming through the Table of Contents. "The first potion I think we should start with is the Love Potion since you are required to be able to make this potion during the NEWT tests." She really didn't want to cook up this potion since he knew exactly what she would smell. She was already embarrassed last year when Professor Slughorn asked her what she smelled. She was glad that he didn't come back for this year but Dumbledore didn't either. She sighed, not wanting to remember anything of last year.
